I’ve gone from a no facial oil user to a profound user in such a short amount of time and it always makes me chuckle, because a mere five years ago had you told me to put oils on my face I most likely would have rolled my eyes.
Kyle Jenner lipsticks. And facial oils. Oh how times have changed!
But these two products have certainly earned their spots in my skincare routine, though for very different reasons.
But comparing the two is pretty easy as they act completely different on my skin.
The Caudalie Detox Oil is actually something I grabbed two months ago and quite frankly I have yet to go more than a day without. It’s the ‘oilest’ of the two and roughly 5 drops will give my face and neck generous layer. I’ve watched angry, splotchy breakouts be diminished drastically over night from this oil and acne scars I thought I would be stuck with disappear over a couple weeks time. All in thanks to it’s cell renewal abilities.
The detox oil has truly forced me into believing good skincare isn’t a “quick fix”…. but rather a long term commitment.
Unfortunately, if you have dry skin and cold winter weather, the detox oil may falter and be a bit too much.
BUT that’s where the Pai oil saves the day. It’s formulated with high concentrations of fatty Omega acids along with skin nourishing antioxidants. I actually double checked the Pai Skincare site, because I wondered if this ‘oil’ was in fact a misnamed serum as it’s much thicker and less oily compared to the Caudalie oil. But nope! The Pai oil is simply a well designed multitasker.
So if you are wondering which one to start with…
The detox affect on my skin has been absolutely dramatic. Though my skin seems to be reaping the restorative benefits from the Rosehip oil, during these months of extreme cold. So, I’ve linked a few other well loved and highly reviewed oils below. Because while I’m not sure if I could stray too far away from these oils, with skincare the best decision you can make is what y o u r skin needs.
