It’s been quite a while since I’ve written about skincare on here. This summer I’ve been busier than every with photography projects and I slowly watched my skin get worse and worse. Proof that it’s never all good. My breakouts were flutuating pretty extremely and I noticed some melasma I had last summer was flaring up even stronger this year. Basically, I felt like I was slowly being backed into a corner with my skin conditions. And being torn between effective, yet calming.
After talking to a friend she highly suggested a holistic skincare studio in town. I’ve never ventured very far into holistic approaches, but I have to say I was intrigued and at the point where I would try just about anything.
One visit into Nectar and Lily had me completely head over heels for Eminence Organics skincare. Which is shocking to me because I’ve never been much of a dedicated organic skincare user. There are definite advantages of organic skincare, but I’ve been wary of them because my Mom and I have some plant allergies.
Fortunately, Eminence has been nothing but kind to my skin.
A few of my favorites from Eminence Organics:
Facial Recovery oil – My love for a good facial oil is well documented on this site, so it was a quick love with this oil from Eminence Organics.
It’s formulated specifically to help soothe sensitive skin, all the while balance out skin.
The tea tree oil fights acne (without causing angry red and dry patches) and the rosemary + olive oil delivers a soothing combo to hydrate skin. It also will help to figure out if you need an oil by determining if your skin is dry or dehydrated. (Pst – there is a difference!)
Vitamin C Rosehip Oil – Vitamin C has quickly become a staple to my skincare. It is an ingredient that most start looking for when they are thinking of anti-aging, but it can actually help prevent UV damage, as well.
The Rosehip oil from Eminence has been one of the best formulations that makes my skin brighter and even toned with it’s 15% Vitamin C concentration. But I always suggest my other favorite from Drunk Elephant as well! It simply wears a bit heavier than the Eminence one.
Eight Greens Youth Serum – At first I assumed this was another gimmick product, but my hormonal skin has never been brighter and clearer when using this. If I do get a breakout they remain small and hardly noticeable.
While the combination of antioxidants, Coenzyme Q10, and acids helped calm my skin I would suggest sampling first. A lot of revie
Mangosteen Resurfacing Concentrate – Interestingly enough this orange little guy isn’t derived from mangoes. The mangosteen is actually an antioxidant rich fruit and combined with lactic acids it helps to make the renew brighter skin. Meaning it exfoliates skin gently. (It also happens to smell delicious.
I’m so excited to dive even more into the skincare line, as everything I’ve used my skin absolutely loves. (I even sampled a probiotic mask and was obsessed with the cool feeling and cucumber scent!) But really I was so shocked to see s o m a n y readers reach out and share their favorites from this organic skincare line.
For all of those who are located in Bozeman, MT I couldn’t suggest going to visit Lily at Nectar enough! Her consultations are free, meaning you can actually talk to someone rather than trying to guess which products will end up working best for you.
Ok so I have to know… have you ever tried this organic skincare line? I’ve been loving learning more about Eminence and would love to hear your experiences with them.
