Good skin is hard for me to come by. And good products are even harder.
It’s not often I highlight an entire skincare brand on here, as my skin is all too fussy for just one line. To have one company meet all my requirements is quite a lot to ask, so my skin does much better with a little from here and a little from there.
Enter Colleen Rothschild.
While it may be over stating that her skincare line has checked all my boxes (I have quite a few), it has checked more than most ever do. So needless to say I’m quite excited to work with her company and add a few new items to my routine.
Radiant Cleansing Balm – First off – my absolute favorite. And the one product I was determined to hate.
Historically, I am not a fan of cleansing balms. Every time I’ve tried them I can most accurately describe them as goopy, more expensive formulations of coconut oil. And I figured I was over the ‘whole cloth + cleansing balm system,’ as it was too messy and never quite removed all my makeup.
This balm is an entirely different creature.
Colleen Rothschild’s yellow, wax looking balm glides over my skin and removes all traces of makeup with the provided muslin cloth. I’m talking a l l traces. A small dime amount leaves my skin fresh and completely lacking any filmy residue. There is no need to use another cleanser after this step. Colleen’s cleansing balm does the trick the first time through and leaves a clean slate for the rest of my skincare routine!
(Note: While maybe not a direct sale per skincare, a quick rinse of the cloth and all my black mascara streaks disappeared. All my previous muslin clothes required lots of scrubbing to get rid of leftover product, but not so with this one.)
Extreme Recovery Cream – I think the price of this luxury night cream might make some of you balk. And I get it.
I’ve gotten quite used to shelling out $$$ for skincare. (The joys of fussy skin.) So for those that can use lower end creams, the only thing I can tell you is how beautifully formulated Colleen Rothschild’s recovery cream is. It wears incredibly light, yet has the impact of some of my heaviest hitters. While it doesn’t even out my skin tone as much as the sheer renewal cream, it does such a great job of replenishing my skin at the end of the day.
It’s one of those products I forget to gush about, but my skin can’t get enough of.
Sheer Renewal Cream – I’ve been going without a daily moisturizer lately as I’ve been all about facial oils and the only reason I tried this product is it’s oil free promise. Facial oils give me amazing skin, but fussy makeup melt.
Luckily Colleen Rothschild’s renewal cream gives me the best of both worlds!
Her sheer renewal cream creates a beautiful velvet texture to my skin once soaked in. And I’ve never had a lotion keep my makeup in place like this oil free cream does. Quite frankly the downside I can think of it’s lack of SPF. For many I know that would be a quick pass, but it’s ability to keep my skin happy, oil free and clearer has me double checking SPF in my primer and makeup.
Oily fussy skins honestly shouldn’t go without this one.
Mandelic Acid Radiance Serum – Truth be told I don’t know really know how I feel about this product. I’m not new to AHA exfoliants as I actually prefer them for my skin. And in some ways I think my indecision about this product is my own fault. I’ve seen quite a lot of exfoliators so it’s hard for me to differentiate them and say which is the best.
Here’s what I can say:
My skin l o v e s it.
I’ve had a few breakouts pop up along my jawline while using this line and this AHA swiftly calmed it down.
But so do other acid exfoliants. It’s a tough call so I want to give the product a bit more time before I declare it’s radiance boosting abilities. I definitely do notice a brighter complexion once applied, but my stubborn post acne marks haven’t budged too much. Time will tell!
Whenever I’m fortunate enough to work with companies such as Colleen Rothchild I always try to receive products I will actually repurchase. It hardly does me any good to receive endless amounts of unusable product and for you to only see them during a brief promotional post. So what will I absolutely be repurchasing?
Radiant cleansing balm
Sheer Renewal cream
I can honestly say my skincare routine will no longer be going without these two products.
I am, however, on the fence about the recovery cream and serum. The recovery cream is actually more affordable than other high end creams I’ve used, but that doesn’t erase the $$ cost to repurchase it. So budget aside I will absolutely be repurchasing. The radiance serum while good for my skin is a product I’m still undecided about. I’m waiting for a full month use before I believe in the brighter skin claim… but it is super helpful for clogged skin.

(If you aren’t quite convinced on my review, Mercedes professed her own love for the cleansing balm! It’s seriously that good.)
I’m happily rearranging beauty products for you guys again and even happier that they are high quality products like Colleen Rothschild’s! I could quite honestly talk about these beauties all day. Have you ever tried any thing from her line??
