  • Love that adorable lacy shrug! This is a great post.

    • Thank you Christine! It’s one of those pieces I always find myself reaching for. πŸ™‚

  • Oh my, such a sweet and wonderful post Kelsey! (Your posts really light up my day!) It’s ironic how now I’m in a realtionship, I believe in the importance in self love even more. I wish I felt this way when I was younger instead of dreading the lovey doveyness that Valentines brings!

Everyone is on a constant journey to find the one and their true love but learning to love yourself is the best relationship you can have, you know your strengths and weaknesses, what makes your heart skip a beat and how to turn a bad day around.

Such a lovely message your sharing and your photos are AMAZING!!

P.S Loved seeing your newsletter pop up in my inbox πŸ™‚

    • Oh I’m so glad you liked the post Hanh πŸ™‚ I’m trying to branch out a bit and talk about things besides makeup so I’m glad that these little posts aren’t horribly unwelcome. And I really am thankful my parents forced me to never look at it that way otherwise I think I would have either grown up hating the holiday or mocking it. Which is so sad! If anything the holiday is a simple reminder to reach out to those who we appreciate.

WAHOOO!! I was again a bit nervous doing that but I finally got over myself and made myself push SEND. So happy to have you in my little blogging tribe πŸ™‚ I am waiting anxiously to hear more about your videography business! xo

      • I love these kind of posts so keep them coming! Aww I think it’s great you’re doing something new as an extension of your blog πŸ™‚

Thank you! I’m actually launching my site today, there will be a blog post up in a few hours! xx

        • Really?? I can’t wait to go check it out πŸ™‚

    • So they are actually bunny shoes and I’m a bit obsessed with them. I wore them to get my car fixed… I think the car guys got quite a laugh out of them. I hope you have a wonderful Valentine’s Julia! xo

      • Julia

Of course they are. No idea why I thought they were kittens. haha

  • These are stunning!

    • Thank you sweet Chelsea! xo

  • Such a great post Kelsey! I am not single, haven’t been for a really long time but I don’t like Valentine’s because of how petty people (girls) can be about it sometimes. When used to work, Valentine’s was always an excuse to show off as to who got the biggest bouquet of flowers or the biggest box of chocolates. I hated that condescending ‘what did you get for Valentine’s Day?’ question.

For us, Valentine’s Day is more about our kids and celebrating it with them. πŸ™‚

    • So I’ve noticed that trend lately! Which is so silly and drives me crazy. And not at all what Valentine’s is about! I think people have made it to be this grand gesture when really it’s just a simple reminder to tell someone you care about them. I love that you do stuff with your kiddos! My parents did that and it’s by far my favorite thing that we do, so I’m sure one day your kiddos are going to thank you big time.

Thanks for such a lovely comment Nereyda! xo

  • First of all: your photos are stunning, as always. And I love how natural and relaxed you look in them! And second of all, YES! I’ve become really passionate about taking the time to love yourself, mainly because this is something I continuously am working on. After being so angry at my body for years, I realized that I was holding myself back and if I could start to find peace with it and love it again, I could finally move forward. It’s not an easy journey to be on, but one that I’m grateful to finally be pushing myself to follow!

    • Omygosh we had such fun music blasting during our little photo mesh so I think that was my saving grace. And you journey always inspires me Chelsie! It’s so much more than just a broken heart. xo

  • This is easily my favorite post about Valentine’s Day πŸ™‚ Thank you for this!
