Seeing how I only have five months left of being ‘almost a 30-year old’ get ready for a whole slue of these kind of posts. The closer I’ve gotten to 30 (eek just typing that is weird) my mindset with makeup has changed. I’m no longer looking for the newest makeup release. I’ve started looking for the products that go beyond nine to five, are also good for my skin and feel incredibly light.
Lilah b. Divine Duo – I never really loved lip + cheek products until I tried Lilah b. The products never seemed to be as good at multi-tasking as they claimed and I just ended up using them for lips or cheeks. Never both.
But Lilah b.’s duo is the perfectly formulated for lips and cheeks. Its ultra-creamy formulation blends right onto the skin. It’s definitely not the longest lasting lip color, however, the natural color of b. lovely worth the extra one or two applications.
Lilah b. Marvelous Matte Creme Foundation – once again Lilah b. has nailed formulation. They have somehow created a cream foundation that even oily skinned ladies can love.
The matte cream foundation blends and builds effortlessly (like most creams), but then switches to a matte finish once dry. I love the Lilah b. brand purely for their belief in decluttering and simplifying. Luckily, they also have beautiful products my sensitive skin loves.
Stila Shimmer and Glow Liquid Eyeshadow – if you buy one thing from this blog post let it be this little guy.
Simply dab a bit with your ring finger over your eyelid and out the door you go. No brushes required. I swear it looks like you spent more than 30 seconds applying it and lasts well beyond a nine-to-five.
I swear by the rosy-taupe color of Grace.
Eminence Lilikoi Primer – this silicon free primer always has a mixed bag of reviews when you look it up. But what it lacks in application (it’s a physical sunscreen so it applies thick) it makes up for in skin brightening. My skin truly shines while wearing this and I’ll often just skip makeup because of it.
Bonus: Not only is it protecting against UVA/UVB it also protects against blue light! Perfect for those who are like me and always in front of their computer screens.
