My Silky Skin Secret

4 January, 2016

  • I know how you feel on the blah skin front Kelsey! My skin is so dry and have to make sure I’m using body moisteriser daily to keep it soft. I love the sound of these products you mentioned, I tend to use a body exfoliators more in the summer when more skin is on show hehe. Also your silky camisole is gorgeous!

    Hanh / hanhabelle

    • I’m glad you like them Hanh! I always look forward to when I get to use them πŸ™‚ And thank you! H&M is basically all that I shop these days. xo

  • Oh my goodness, that silk pajamas is gorgeous! Where did you get it!?!

    • Thank you Susannah! I got it from H&M πŸ™‚ so cute and cheap! xo

  • Dana Brillante-Peller

I love those body buffer sponges! I may have to try them out πŸ™‚

    • They are my favorite thing right now πŸ™‚ I hope you are able to try them out!

  • Your photos are so pretty! I think I’ve seen those flower sponges before and they def felt super exfoliating. I’ve been using this exfoliating cloth that’s pretty long – almost like half the size of a yoga mat, but it’s so annoying to dry and this little sponge looks perfect. πŸ™‚

    • What?? That sounds so interesting! I do love these little sponges though πŸ™‚ They are so simple and good smelling!

  • Your silk nighty is so cute!! Absolutely love it and your sweater! Our style is definitely very similar because I am always wearing chunky cardigans, and silk nighties (or really soft lace ones) are my absolutely favorite. Where did you buy this nighty??

These sponges sound fantastic! I make homemade ones as well, but they can get kind of annoying as you can only rub the salt or sugar on your skin for so long before it dissolves. Thanks for sharing!

    • I’ve been eying some really pretty Aerie lace nighties so yes it sounds like we have super similar taste πŸ™‚ And this one was supper cheap at H&M! I have basically been turning to them for everything lately.

YES exactly! I love homemade sponges… but Spongelle definitely won me over πŸ™‚

  • Loved this, I’m so lazy when it comes to getting a routine together and getting some nutrients back into my skin – photography was absolutely beautiful as well!

    • Thank you so much Samantha! And I’m so glad to hear that I’m not the only one who is a touch lazy πŸ™‚

  • These sound like magic! The skin on my left leg and around my scar gets so dry and patchy/scaly in the winter. It’s disgusting, but no amount of lotion will make it better! This sounds like something that might gently help get that skin looking better again!

    • If you try them you will have to let me know Miss Chelsie πŸ™‚ I honestly look forward to the days that I use them!

  • Sounds lovely. the pajamas are so pretty

    • Thank you so much! That means a lot because your photos are always gorgeous Sabiha πŸ™‚

  • That silky nightwear is super dreamy, definitely need to get my hands on some like that. I loved the pastel shade theme of these photos, very calming to look at. I haven’t heard of this brand but now I’m keen to test something out!

    Anna x

    • Thank you Anna! It was super cheap from H&M πŸ™‚ but seemed totally worth it. And if you try Spongelle you will have to let me know because I absolutely love them! xo

  • I love this so much! Also, you have a stunning bathroom! It is so pretty!

    • Thank you thank you! It’s come a LONG WAY since the college days πŸ™‚

  • Your bathroom seems like such a bright and relaxing place! My bathroom has no windows which really makes it terribly dark and not very relaxing. I love love love the idea that the sponges have good things soaked into them. I really need to try those. Also that silk nightie/romper is beyond adorable. Absolutely love your photos!

    • So my bathroom always surprises me by how light it is, but I think my momma must have painted it the right color and it’s on the side of the house that always gets light. I hope you are able to try some of these πŸ™‚ Thank you so much for your lovely comment Ellen! xo

  • I FINALLY gave myself a proper pedicure yesterday and oh man, was it ever a long time coming. I could’ve used that pedicure scrub for sure!

    • So glad I’m not the only one who has been skipping out on that beauty routine πŸ™‚ But I’ve been much more willing to make time for pedis now that I have the little buffer. Thanks for stopping by Chelsea!

  • I love your photos in this post! Sadly the shipping of these to Australia is $45 USD so I won’t be able to try these out anytime soon but they look so lovely!

    Sarah | Bows & Pleats

    • Sweet lou!! I do not blame you at all that is way too pricey of shipping, even though they are great products. I hope you are maybe able to find them locally Sarah. xo
