Here we celebrate the beauty of balance in everyday life! And the journey of making ourselves uncomfortable.
First off thank you so much for being here! While this is a personal blog and I only suggest items I actually use (plus love!), if you click a link I may receive compensation. This simple thing helps me keep my site ad free.

I’ve noticed over time that the majority of my tutorials are a bit more complicated than on simple hair tie, when in all reality during the week I don’t have much time for anything more complicated. And from yoga to days where showering is just t o o m u c h, it works perfectly.
I’m fairly certain we have all perfected the yoga sweats + messy bun combo, but I thought I would share some tips for making sure that bun stays messy rather than crosses the line into a perfect ballerina bun.
Tresses should have a little extra grip so makes sure to use a texture spray
Don’t pull hair too tight into ponytail, nor smooth it out completely
Pull strands only part way through band, twist band around fingers & pull band over hair in the opposite direction
Run fingers through sides of hair to pull out face framing strands
This is possibly the simplest tutorial I think I’ll ever be able to create. Most days I’ll simply rush out the door at this point. But whenever I have a few extra minutes I’ll tie a bow around my messy bun.
Placing the ribboned bow under my messy bun makes it a bit less cheerleader and a little more chic, which is perfect for the office setting.

I love that this tutorial requires nothing more than a good texture spray and a desire to avoid a shower. [wc_fa icon=”smile-o” margin_left=”” margin_right=””][/wc_fa]
