Fall in Montana

DATE:

Oct 11, 2016

As much as I love any excuse to curl up under an endless pile of blankets + hot tea (I have at least one cup every day no matter the temp out), Fall has never really been a season I look forward too much.  In Wyoming it’s simply the odd fourteen-ish days that aren’t hot nor cold that are between summer and winter.  But after this recent trip up to Bozeman to visit where L was born and raised, I finally get the obsession with fall.  C o l o r s  e v e r y w h e r e. I got to enjoy exploring new sights wrapped in layers + ducking in and out of cute local shops.

If you have been lucky enough to visit Montana, you know that it’s simply breathtaking no matter the season.  Though those mountain views + colors + fall feelings make it simply my favorite place.

Bozeman Montana

I was lucky enough to visit Montana last October as well, but with only a weekend to explore it, L wasn’t really able to show off his home state much.  We found ourselves barely getting more than thirty minutes to eat at restaurants before we were racing off to our next to-do.

I’m unfortunately/fortunately one of those people who likes to travel with a list of must see’s and plan each day accordingly (something L rolls his eyes at), but I have to say it really does help make sure I see the most of places + not get as stressed out as much!  With some bad weather, our travels didn’t go quite as planned – it’s so hard to feel pumped about exploring when it’s drizzling out – but we covered s o  m u c h  more and I even got to seem some of those gorgeous Mountain views.  And almost all of my ‘to-dos’ were neatly checked off by the time we boarded our flight home!

This trip came right after three weeks spent in Salt Lake City for my 9 to 5 and I was in desperate need for some inspiration.  The mountains in Montana couldn’t have been more perfect, nor more inspiring.  I’ll make sure to share a travel guide for Bozeman soon, but for now I just wanted you to enjoy some of my favorite sights traveling up to Palisade Falls + the Spanish Peaks.

Looking back through all my photos it makes me realize how much I adore those Montana vibes.  It seems as though the views were both incredibly breathtaking + relaxing – if that’s at all possible.  Long story short I cannot wait for my next trip, as I’m dying to get up to Glacier park!

Have you ever visited Montana? Or have you even wanted to?? Its definitely out of the way for most people!
