I don’t think I ever planned on sharing a video for this space. Videos are just one of those things I’ve steered clear of. Photography is something that I latched on to pretty quickly and felt super natural with on day one. But video is something that has always baffled me.
Still I was tired of my lack of knowledge being my excuse, so with a quick trip to Glacier National Park I dabbled in video for a couple days.
While we were up in Glacier National Park last weekend for a photography job, I took a lot of quick films throughout our long days just for fun. And since I’m not able to share my photos quite as it was a work trip for me (I have to wait for the client to share the photos first), I figured this was it. This was my time to just try video.
So I took a few amateur (key word right there) clips and strung them together. It doesn’t equal Glacier’s beauty or even include my favorite spot, but it gives you a glimpse and a tease at what’s to come!
If anything I hope this video inspires you to step outside of your comfort zone a bit. You don’t have be good at it. This is my second attempt at a video and looking back I s t i l l see things I could have done differently. But I learned an entire new set of skills and I can now see I can edit a video.
Have a wonderful weekend lovelies!
PS Shout out to my friend, Molly, whose videos are some of my absolute favorite. She creates such engaging videos for day to day life and is one of my inspirations for trying video 🙂
